Nadia Jefferies, CF and 3rd baseman with the NC Challengers, has committed to play for NC Central in the fall of 2009.
Miss Jefferies is one of the best athletes to ever wear the Challengers uniform. She is an extremely quick player and can play multiple positions. Miss Jefferies just moved to the left side of the plate about a year ago and already looks like a natural. She is a very difficult out to say the least. Miss Jefferies is always working hard to improve her game and leads others to do the same. She also plays for Garner High school were she is an impact player. Miss Jefferies will be be a big help to the NCCU program.

Laura Alford & Lindsay Haver Commit to Peace College (NC)
Laura Alford and Lindsay Haver from the NC Challengers 18U team have committed to attend Peace College beginning in the fall of 2009.
Miss Alford is a left-handed pitcher and outfielder. She has been a key leader and dominant player for the Challengers for several years. Miss Alford has been through a lot over the past year and has shown the coaching staff and team what real courage and endurance is all about. Beyond having a lot of talent, she shows strong dedication and work ethic towards the game of softball. She has proven she is a winner on and off the field.
Miss Haver is a catcher/2nd baseman/outfielder. She is one of those athletes that just started playing the game - only playing travel ball for approximately 2 years. Watching Miss Haver develop over the past two years has been a true joy to the NC Challengers 18U coaching staff. One can easily see her improvement in every practice and game.
